TalkTalk Business whitepaper pinpoints benefits of business-grade home broadband

TalkTalk Business has investigated the impact of the mass shift to hybrid working and how to maintain staff well-being in a new Homeworker Whitepaper.

The report showed customers understand the advantages of investing in business-grade home broadband. Seven in ten of those surveyed mentioned better upload speeds, greater productivity, and business grade support as key benefits.

Richard Thompson, managing director, wholesale at TalkTalk Business, explained, “As UK business and their employees embrace the ‘new-normal’ of hybrid working, our mission to deliver full fibre has never felt more urgent. Our partners are in a great position to shape and leverage this homeworking opportunity and help their customers with connectivity and staff well-being, and we’re excited to be able to help support this.”

Quadrangle was commissioned by the company to carry out the study and consulted with 35 TalkTalk Business wholesale partners and interviewed 739 business decision makers and 2,530 employees. The whitepaper looks at how ways of working have changed over the past year and examines the benefits of hybrid working and the challenges that employers and their people have faced in adapting to this new reality.

The study also showed partners are increasingly aware of the key benefits for their clients. Just under half thought year-round premium support or ‘dedicated direct business grade support’ would appeal to clients, especially with set-up, configuration and to reduce number of service calls in the long run. 43 per cent of respondents felt better productivity is a key selling point, whereas 54 per cent pointed to enhanced video calling, and 49 cited better upload speeds.

TalkTalk Business recently put together a Homeworker Package to enable its partners to offer business-grade connectivity to employees working from home. The company has extended this package by providing partners with their own white-label whitepaper, well-being resources such as employee guidance and checklist, and other resources to help employees work from home.
