Telephonetics VIP, the speech recognition and automation specialist has announced a partnership with network integration provider ONI, a Cisco Gold Certified Partner. Under the agreement, ONI will provide the Telephonetics VIP portfolio of automation solutions to customers seeking to deploy speech recognition automation on Cisco’s Call Manager.
The channel partnership aims to take advantage of the growing speech recognition and IP markets and follows the successful implementation of Telephonetics VIP’s speech-driven call handling solution, ContactPortal, via SIP, on Cisco Unified Communications Manager.
A recent benchmark study by Aberdeen Research showed that speech self-service is quickly becoming an essential application for any organisation interested in delivering the best customer service possible. The survey indicated that implementations of the technology would triple in the next 12-24 months. While Yankee Group predicts a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) in the IP market of 31.4 percent, reaching nearly $3.3 billion in 2010. Clearly this all represents a sizeable market opportunity.
“We knew ONI as a pre-eminent solutions specialist. ONI is one of only a few Cisco Gold Certified Partners with IP Communications specialised status in the UK, which demonstrates an excellent standard of networking competency, service and support. With the continued growth in the IP market, ONI were our natural choice when choosing a partner in the convergence community.” explains Mike Matthews, Director of Product Management, Telephonetics VIP.
The partnership means that customers will have easy access to high quality IP and voice automation products from a single supplier.
“We recognise that automation is an area of telecommunications that is growing rapidly, due to the cost savings and ease of use it offers. Previously, speech recognition has not squarely addressed the Convergence market. The range of solutions offered on the Telephonetics VIP SEMAP+ platform is best in class and enables us to offer our customers the core benefits of speech recognition in an IP environment.” Mark Collins, Managing Director, ONI.
The complementary activities of ONI will bring new options for customers. In particular, Telephonetics VIP will enable ONI to broaden their portfolio for the public sector initiatives in which they are currently active.
Mark continues, “Telephonetics VIP provides products that match our target markets, therefore offering a significant addition to our solutions portfolio.”
