TheCloud, the channel only business focussed on providing cloud solutions via its purpose built Revolution Cloud platform has announced the appointment of Daniel Crespi as Managing Director.
Allan Packer, founder and existing Director at TheCloud stated, “Daniel is a significant addition to the TheCloud team and we are looking forward to benefitting from his extensive experience in the telecoms industry in two countries and as a channel / wholesale veteran. His skills perfectly match our channel only model.”
Packer went on to say, “As a Board, we believe Daniel’s experience will prove invaluable to TheCloud as we launch our suite of Revolution Cloud products, all of which are provided using our purpose built carrier grade platform.”
Crespi has a proven track record in the industry, spanning 26 years both in Australia and the UK, 17 of which have been in senior positions in wholesale and channel, and most recently in the UK as Director and shareholder of Telcoinabox Limited. His move to TheCloud is a natural progression for him personally as well as the business, ensuring he remains ahead of the convergence of IT and Telecoms beginning in the reseller world.
“From a personal perspective this is a very exciting progression,” Crespi says. “I’m convinced if a telecoms reseller, and indeed any reseller, isn’t seriously considering cloud services in their offering then they won’t be around as convergence of IT and T gathers momentum. To have the opportunity to join the TheCloud at this time and to have such a robust network and product offering for channel partners simply makes sense. TheCloud have an exceptional understanding of end user requirement, to a level I have not seen in the industry before, and this has resulted in TheCloud constantly innovating to turn what would often be seen as commodity products and services into value add offerings, enabling resellers to offer real differentiation.”
TheCloud is a channel only business focussed on providing cloud solutions via its purpose built Revolution Cloud platform. First launched in 2012, this platform has been refined and evolved over the last 5 years and with a recent investment in excess of £2m. The latest, 4th generation, Revolution Cloud platform was released in January 2017. RevolutionCloud is the result of years of iteration and forward thinking, a cloud platform built with the future in mind. Hosted across four London data centres and an off-grid remote DR centre, RevolutionCloud is the UK’s leading private cloud offering; an end-to-end platform wholly owned and operated by a single party from the ISP layer through to applications and storage. This ensures total security, control and resilience. Every layer of the platform has been designed with these factors in mind, built on an all solid state N+2 architecture , The Cloud is able to offer its services with a 100% infrastructure uptime guarantee.
