Timico Group has appointed Steve Hodges to the newly created position of Director of Business Development. In his new role, Steve will be responsible for driving the sales of Timico’s IP connectivity and hosted services, and range of IP PBX solutions to companies with 250+ employees.
“I am looking forward to taking Timico’s business strength IP solutions to companies for whom a reliable, robust and flexible IP service is essential for running their business critical applications and services. Businesses are more reliant than ever before on their office and data centre network links and need cost effective solutions to connect their growing number of homeworkers. To achieve this, they need a service-oriented partner who can provide secure and reliable IP connectivity today and into the future, and that’s Timico,” says Steve Hodges.
Hodges brings to Timico almost fifteen years’ experience in the IT and telecoms sector. Prior to joining Timico, Steve spent three years at Ramesys, an ICT infrastructure provider specialising in the education and corporate business sectors, initially in a commercial role and latterly as Operations and Delivery Director. At Ramesys, Hodges was responsible for the implementation and management of some of the newest and most complex IT solutions in the market place.
He commented, “By understanding the changing needs of IT departments and budgets in the current market conditions, Timico is perfectly positioned to ensure that customers benefit from the right solution that not only fits today’s budget, but will cope with tomorrow’s technical requirements. The underlying infrastructure, the in-house technical expertise and the strong partnerships that Timico has, position us perfectly to rival the bigger network providers who are often less flexible in their approach and unable to deliver personal service.”
Chris Tombs, Chief Executive Timico Group, comments: “Steve’s experience and skill set will be invaluable in his new role, which will help to strengthen our position within the mid to higher end corporate marketplace. He will be responsible for growing our IP connectivity business, formulating the sales strategy and shaping our service capability.”
