Wavenet acquires Solar

Cloud Unified Communications offering bolstered through Wavenet Ltd’s acquisition of Solar Communications Group Ltd

Wavenet, has announced the acquisition of Solar Communications Group Limited for an undisclosed consideration.

Wavenet, backed by Beech Tree Private Equity, is bolstering its cloud unified communications offering by adding the experience and scale of Solar Communications into its solution and service portfolio.

Both businesses have been extremely active and successful in their ‘buy and build’ strategy, each acquiring 4 businesses and integrating them over the past 2 years, whilst maintaining organic growth.

Wavenet has its own automated platform on which it offers multiple cloud-based communication services to direct customers and resellers. Its BroadCloud solutions, underpinned by a broad range of connectivity, security, cloud, voice and data solutions is supplied on its own managed network.

Together the group will now service nearly 10,000 UK business customers.

Solar Chief Executive Officer John Whitty, will remain with the business and join the executive board with a key role leading the integration of the businesses.
