Westcon Group has announced the company has been awarded ‘EMEA Top Distributor of the Year’ for outstanding revenue growth across EMEA by Extreme Networks.
The award was presented at the ‘Extreme Networks Global Partner Conference’ in the glorious ocean front Eden Roc Hotel on Miami beach. It was the first public event introducing the ‘New Extreme’ – marking the beginning of its integration with Enterasys; presenting the opportunities and vision of the newly combined companies.
“Westcon have been an Extreme Networks Distributor Partner in EMEA for over a decade. They are a critical part to Extreme’s success in EMEA being our largest distribution partner. From 2008, where the re-sale of Extreme took place in just five EMEA countries, Westcon has grown revenues by over 60%, and is now reselling Extreme Networks portfolio of products across 20 countries via a network of over 120 resellers. Westcon’s commitment to the partnership is demonstrated by their deep understanding of the Extreme business and their focused execution of strategies that drive mutual growth. We are very proud to award Westcon EMEA Top Distributor for FY’13”, commented Roland Richter, Extreme Networks EMEA VP Sales.
Westcon has helped partners across EMEA drive sales revenues for Extreme with value added programmes and support as market opportunity for data networking continues to grow; and align closely to Extreme’s ethos to deliver the best hardware and software products, the best customer care and with a strong commitment to be easy to do business with.
“We are privileged to have won this award and we are delighted for the recognition of our commitment to Extreme Networks. I would like to thank the Westcon Extreme team who work relentlessly to ensure that we are strategically aligned with Extreme, ensuring that we are delivering against our joint plans and providing programmes and support that make a real difference and drive growth. I look forward to another successful year with Extreme Networks, and welcome the opportunities ahead working with the combined organisation,” said David Grant, Senior Vice President Europe, Westcon Convergence.
