This spring, Westcon-Comstor’s 18 top growth partners were treated to an all-inclusive ski trip to Cervinia, Italy. Hosted by senior management from Westcon-Comstor plus leaders from Avaya, Polycom, Extreme Networks and Plantronics, partners enjoyed first-class skiing, helicopter ascents and fine dining at the world’s number one mountain restaurant.
“Since the first Crane Telecommunications trip in 1992 the incentive has become a channel institution and is proven to drive incremental growth amongst our partners” comments John Richardson, UK&I Marketing Director. “Partners frequently ask us how they’re progressing and seek support to grow their revenues and earn a place. On the trips, we at Westcon gain invaluable insight into our customers’ business needs before feeding that insight back into the business to refine our service. The partners also enjoy extended time to network with their peers, vendors and Westcon-Comstor Execs.”
Roger Craven, Head of Specialist Sales at Telefónica remarks “Despite today’s budget pressures on events like this, the true value of your event and the benefit it drives for your partners is clearly evident. The network of relationships that I established during the Westcon ski trip has directly contributed to our success in bidding for new business, with one particular won deal valued at £20m.”
