Westcon Group has announced it has signed an EMEA distribution agreement with Edgewater Networks, a specialist in video border security to drive growth in the video conferencing market for SMBs.
Edgewater solutions remove the barriers of point of entry that resellers have previously faced trying to sell video conferencing solutions to SMBs both for the end user and the reseller. For the reseller accreditation and certification charges are lower than larger vendors therefore reducing cost of entry and increasing speed to market. The end user customer can also benefit from lower costs as less infrastructure is required, and the solution is easy and fast to deploy.
“We are delighted to partner with Edgewater Networks; their heritage in video border security is one of the strongest in the market today, making them a natural choice as a partner. The relationship presents a real opportunity for our resellers to drive video conferencing into the SMB market to facilitate growth cost-effectively for both the reseller and the end user,” commented David Grant, Vice President Westcon Group, EMEA.
Edgewater’s EdgeProtect Enterprise Session Border Controller (ESBC) solutions provide security and reliability of converged voice, video and data services and with this agreement Westcon’s resellers will be able to access Edgewater’s video border security products and solutions that address the most significant challenges in delivering secure reliable networks such as:
•Multiple Device Accessibility
•Security and policy management
•Quality of Service (QoS)
“Edgewater is excited to have Westcon on board as an authorized VAR of our EdgeProtect line of ESBCs,” said Dave Norman, CEO of Edgewater Networks. “Incorporating our solution into their portfolio allows Westcon to provide superior solutions to seamless integration of video conferencing for multiple deployments, including mobile devices.”
