Zen takes cloud service to market with Nutanix

Cloud
Zen Internet has signed a three year contract with Nutanix, provider of enterprise cloud computing.

In a move that places Zen as one of Nutanix’s largest service provider partners in Europe, the strategic partnership encompasses a commitment to utilise Nutanix enterprise cloud software to power the Zen Cloud platform giving its customers the agility, economics and security of a cloud platform that is built on high performance, hyper-converged infrastructure.

Zen Cloud is available both as infrastructure-as-a-service (IAAS) and as a managed service. IAAS customers can take as much or as little space on Zen’s platform as they want at any given time, they will only ever be charged for what they use. It can also scale with a business providing an ideal platform for key activity such as data centre migration or introducing a more cost effective platform for apps.

"As a growing number of private and public sector organisations look to Nutanix to unify their IT operations and bring frictionless application mobility across different cloud environments, we're thrilled to announce this strategic partnership with Zen," said Dom Poloniecki, General Manager, Sales, Western Europe and Sub-Saharan Africa region, Nutanix. He continued: "We are confident that Zen’s experience in successfully delivering cloud services will help us to meet the demand for Nutanix’ offerings. We welcome Zen to our exceptional group of trusted channel partners, and we look forward to working together to guide customers on their enterprise cloud journeys. Together, we’ll help them reap the rewards of modernising their data centres and running applications at any scale, on-prem and in the cloud."

Martin O’Donnell, Managing Director, Zen Business, said, “We have had a strong working relationship with Nutanix for a few years now and there is a really good culture mesh. Zen is a people first company which has great affinity to Nutanix’ people first values. Working together has enabled us to vastly improve our capacity and performance by adopting a smaller and more energy efficient datacentre footprint, to power our next generation cloud platform. Through this strategic partnership we will actively work together to develop and create a solution that will enable Zen to deliver an enhanced service. This is a key part of our long term investment strategy aiding the delivery of our ambitious growth and development plans.”

John Lyons, General Manager – Cloud and Hosting, Zen Business, added, “Working with Nutanix software we can ensure our Cloud platform scales quickly to meet customer demand and truly delivers high performance for our customers’ mission-critical applications. Our commitment to a long-term partnership with Nutanix ensures we can deliver a secure, highly available and geo-resilient platform, which when combined with our AWS and Azure capabilities allows our customers to benefit from the full breadth of multi-cloud services. We’re very much looking forward to continuing to work with Nutanix to bring the benefits of Zen Cloud to more businesses across the UK.”
