CommsWorld Win Gold

Commsworld have become only the second Scottish company in their field to be awarded Virgin Gold Business Partner status.

The Edinburgh-based firm, who run a next generation telecoms network powered by internet service provider Fluency, join an elite group of companies recommended by the media giant as the top-tier experts in their sector.

It recognises the company’s financial contribution to Virgin, their skills in selling Virgin’s high capacity services and complex solutions, and position as a firm that reflects the media giant’s brand values in the way they do business.

The accreditation also reflects Commsworld’s new capabilities, having developed a high-speed business-only network for transferring fast data and voice services across Scotland – powered by Fluency, the ISP acquired by the company last October.

The firm say it allows Scottish companies to better compete against business rivals in the UK and Europe by providing quicker access to data and avoiding bottlenecks on other networks. This is because data is routed in major Scottish cities, meaning that the traffic passes locally wherever possible rather than always having to travel via London with a resultant delay.

A Virgin Media spokesman said: “We are delighted to have Commsworld as a Gold Business Partner. Their customer-focused outlook, combined with their technical skills and expertise, make them exactly the type of partner we look for to add value to our proposition and drive market share for our business in Scotland.”

Richard Nicol, Commsworld CEO, said: “This is a tremendous accolade. Commsworld take great pride in the fact that we partner with ‘best of breed’ suppliers and are delighted to be confirmed as a Virgin Gold Partner. Service standards and quality are extremely important to us and this status is testament to the investment and focus we have put into this area.”
